What slick trick did you use to lick it?
Maybe. We were interrupted by a revolving red light appeared behind us. It was a Tennessee state trooper. I walked back to trooper's car and I didn't look forward to my first ticket.
Two friends & I, both Ensigns were driving in the backcountry of Tennessee. Driving a little fast. Had our Naval Officer's hats in the rear window of the car.

I would really like to have had one. The trooper saw our Naval Caps and told us he had a son in the Service. The trooper said, "Here is your ticket. I am supposed to haul you in. The local judge is a crook and will probably jail you for the bail. However, if you were never seen in this county again, nothing could happen."
So, flight from prosecution foils the trooper's pen.

TENNESSEE

(Volunteer State)

Nashville's Grand Old Opera, years ago saw Loretta Lynn & Minnie Pearl. Remember a single man at a Memphis bottle club looking for a girl to twirl.
Trained at Memphis Naval Station repairing ships & shoring up bulkheads.
On gravel back roads, lawn decorations truck tires & old metal bedsteads.

Our son Mark's knife collection allows us to buy him a gift anywhere.
Teri, look at the sign for the Smoky Mountain Knife Shop over there.
Wonderful knifes, swords, armor, museum. Three stories. Kitchen cutlery.
Switch blades, swatch knifes, one, two, three edges, even a sign gallery.

Were the hats to attract young girls from afar?
