Why me?
I love America, oh my country of birth.
I wish America was the name of the earth.
Sixty years viewing this country of wonders.
Sixty years it allowing me so many blunders.

Why me?
My Company Colors are Red, White & Blue.
Our Company Logo is Red, White & Blue too.
On my shooting hat the USA it does show.
Acknowledging a Country in which I would grow.

Why me?
Because my feeling in belonging is a profound love.
Even though I know, she is not always a dove.
Because my luck just by birth gave me a chance.
To have a free opportunity to grow and advance.

Why me?
Because my American 17th century ancestry was soon.
Because my family even traced to our Daniel Boone.
My heritage given me rise by the fates.
My only true birthplace is here in the states.

Why me?
For meeting President Johnson on the Bridge of the USS Enterprise.
Or being tour guide for Gene Roddenberry, creator of Starship Enterprise. Because Jimmy Hoffa and I walked and talked on the Picket line.
Or I shook hands with Hubert Humphrey helping at election time.

Why me?
Because I was the first college graduate of my known family.
Because I appreciate and took an American opportunity.
Because I joined and spent six years to get the GI bill decrees.
Because I used it thoughtfully and got four more degrees.

Why me?
Because of interests in my business and my pleasure.
I have seen, touched and eaten this countries treasures.
I have lived near Height & Ashbury Street.
I have stood at Washington and Lincoln's feet.

Why me?
Because the software I wrote.
Runs cities close and remote.
St. Paul Alaska and Calexico California continue to run.
While Miami Florida and Washington DC no longer have sun.

Why me?
Because my nephew in the Army was on the Golden Knights.
My granddaughter is in the Navy, shore duty in England without fights.
My Captain friend's father was Commandant of the US Marines.
Flew Navy Phantom Carrier Jets, fast and Mean Machines.

Why me?
Because Mother's life was saved from wolves by Indians from Dakota.
Going to school through snow from her homestead in north Minnesota.
Destined, I spent three intense years writing Indian Tribal Software.
Selling to tribes from Washington to Florida, to any tribe, anywhere.
