We begin our journey across the USA, from sea to sea to sea.
Listen to the pulse of the road, feel the pulse with me.
Trucks and drivers hear the same beat as we.
Funny! Funny! With your sense of humor, you won't make money.

So as a normal American I'll grab a little of this and little of that.

Backing out on Mission Boulevard our journeys joy so pure.
Excitement runs though our veins like the William Tell Overture.
We go around the block one time to quell our forgetful fears.
We sail along in our Home on Wheels like Roman Charioteers.

Ready to go with our Ford Van tail, 60 feet from stem to stern.
A mental pre-flight by two 60 year olds, each one taking their turn.
Slowly moving down the road, picking up speed like an old freight train.
Teri pushes CD & mandatory music Willy Nelson's "On the Road Again."

We'll take a synapse trip, zigzagging across our magic great land.
We'll take a snooping positions in back of Teri's and Roland's Van.
We'll listen in to hear them talk in verse while gathering a few tidbits.
We'll listen in to hear some stories very uplifting and some for the pits.

Is your mind working on another poem? Last few days that's where you roam.
